5. Installation Procedures
Pre‑installation Preparation
Technical Disclosure
- Familiarize yourself with design drawings, installation specifications and gate technical parameters. Confirm installation position, orientation and elevation.
- Verify gate dimension (e.g. 600×600 mm) and embedded‑part specifications against drawings.
Tools & Materials
- Tools: Electric welder, spirit level, lifting equipment (chain block, crane etc.), spanners, screwdrivers, multimeter, etc.
- Materials: Sealant, bolts, gaskets, waterproof cables, grounding wire, etc.
Foundation Inspection
- Check position, verticality and levelness of foundation or embedded parts (anchor bolts, guide rails) to meet requirements.
- Remove rust and debris from foundation or embedded‑part surfaces to ensure flat mounting surfaces.
Gate‑body Installation
Lifting & Positioning
Lift the gate steadily to installation position by lifting equipment. Keep uniform clearance (normally 2‑3 mm) between gate leaf and guide rails. Calibrate verticality with spirit level; allowable deviation ≤2 mm/m.
Fastening & Connection
- Fasten gate onto embedded anchor bolts with symmetric tightening to avoid uneven stress.
- Connect gate and guide rails via welding or bolting (per design requirements), ensure gate opens/closes without jamming.
- For concrete troughs, secondary pouring is acceptable; extra fixing hardware is not required.
Sealing Inspection
Apply sealant to contact surfaces between gate leaf and gate frame. Inspect rubber water‑stop strip for intactness and no damage.
Measurement‑Control System Installation
Electrical Wiring
Connect power cables and control signal cables (RS485 etc.) per wiring diagram. Implement cable waterproof treatment (waterproof connectors, sealed conduits).
Lightning Protection & Grounding
The metal frame of gate shall be reliably grounded; grounding resistance ≤4 Ω.
Commissioning & Testing
Manual Commissioning
Switch to manual mode. Operate hand‑crank to test smooth gate movement; check for abnormal noise or jamming.
Electric Commissioning
Power on the unit. Operate full‑open / full‑close via control‑panel buttons. Calibrate zero‑point and full‑range of opening‑displacement sensor. Test remote open‑stop‑close operations via WeChat Mini‑Program or cloud platform. Test overload‑protection function (simulate rotor stall and verify automatic power‑off of motor).
Automatic Joint Commissioning
Connect to cloud platform. Test response speed and accuracy of linkage between water‑level / flow signals and gate actuation.
Acceptance & Hand‑over
Functional Acceptance
- Verify gate tightness (no water leakage upon full closure), opening‑closing speed and control accuracy.
- Validate normal performance of remote control and fault‑alarm functions (power‑off, overload etc.).
Document Hand‑over
Submit installation records, commissioning reports, equipment user manual and warranty documents.
Operation‑maintenance Training
Train operators on routine maintenance (lubrication, dirt removal) and fault‑handling procedures.
⚠️ Precautions
- Avoid bumping against gate coating and sealing components during installation.
- Take rain‑proof measures during rainy‑season construction to prevent moisture ingress into electric components.
- Keep personnel away from moving gate parts during commissioning to avoid mechanical injury.
Note: The above steps serve only as reference. Installation shall be adjusted flexibly according to actual site conditions.
